May 27, 2011 ~ So now that I am all Mary Kay I have to let my creative side out to really drive home some of the stuff. The sets that people order don't come all packaged and pretty. I found this pink basket at Target and figured I could put it to use. This one will need a little work but I think it has potential.

May 25, 2011 ~ First, happy birthday to my Dad! Second, I got to go see a playoff game in Tampa tonight! A friend had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to go. I wasn't going to turn this down and it was a great game.

May 24, 2011 ~ I tried to play hockey tonight. It was not the best idea as my ankle was killing me before the game even started. So, I will not be playing for at least another week...or more.

May 22, 2011 ~ When I first started this project I figured most of my pictures would be hockey related but I'm starting to think I have more posts about food! HA! So, since I am moving at the end of June I have started to make an effort to clean out my freezer and cabinet. Tonight I made steak. I had to broil it in the oven because I don't currently have a grill. It actually came out really good and I was rather proud of myself.

May 21, 2011 ~ I went and watched my friend's son play t-ball this morning. These kids are a riot to watch and Thomas is pretty good for his age. I hope he sticks with it.

May 16, 2011 ~ It had rained over the last couple days and the weather had finally cooled off. It was so nice to leave work and drive with the windows down. It was even better to come home shut of the AC and open the doors.

May 15, 2011 ~ Today was Sunday, which means Surf Shop day. I was trying to get excited about being at work...this was as close as I got. :) I did find a new pair of shade that I want though.

May 14, 2011 ~ Jon, Kristina's brother, had his baby on Friday. I dropped by the hospital to see the baby and the new parents. Baby Jaysen was born on Friday the 13th. :)

After visiting the new baby I went to Anthony's 2nd birthday party.

May 13, 2011 ~ So, because my best friend was so awesome for getting me out of the house on Wednesday I returned the favor and limped through the mall for her while she was at work. I had to find her a couple things before she left on her trip. So, I found her stuff then stopped for a Gyro at the Greek Jalapeno (yes, Greek and Mexican food). The name was a little weird but the food was great.

For anyone who is friends with me on FourSquare you will understand my laugh in this. I made sure to check in at the mall while I was shopping for my friends stuff and it ended with me sitting at the train tracks on my way home.

May 12, 2011 ~ This is what happens in our office when you are gone for a day. You end up with weird things on your desk. This was a student's resume. It was their idea of being creative for an interview session they had on Wednesday. It just came off a little creepy that it was on my desk but in all reality it was my co-workers way of being funny.

May 11, 2011 ~ I could barely walk on my ankle this morning so I opted to work from home because driving a stick shift with a busted left foot hurts...So, I spent the day here on the couch with my foot up iced...

Thankfully I have an amazing best friend. She came down and picked me up so that I could get out of the house for a bit. We went and got dinner at Perkins...don't laugh. So yea, this is the fried chicken biscuits and gravy breakfast...it was nothing short of awesome.

May 7, 2011 ~ I love that these photos don't have an order they post...Either way, photo 2 is me and Monika at her BBQ. It was so hot out but the food, company, and music was great.
Photo 1 and 3 are from the 5K run my friend and I did Saturday night. It was a lot of fun but really tiring.

I also went and hung out with my co-workers from my old department. It was Kai's last day so we were sending him off in our usual style...live music, food, drinks, and good company.

May 3, 2011 ~ As I was driving home from work this lovely truck was in front of me more than once. I know the picture is hard to see but it is a trailer filled with trees and all sorts of branches and leaves and such sticking out. If you get where I am going with this - it was a very nerve racking drive just hoping that one of those trees didn't come flying out and through my windshield!

May 2, 2011 ~ After my camera had another episode over the weekend I thought it might be time to take it back to Best Buy and have it fixed. Well, after finding out that it was going to be gone for 3 weeks I somehow went on a crazy spree and bought an xBox 360 and two games for my Wii. Yea, I have no clue what happened but there is it.

May 1, 2011 ~ We had to pack up quickly this morning because the rain was starting to fall. We were able to get pretty much everything put away without incident. We then headed north towards the Everglades. We found this amazing place to eat breakfast. It was hidden back off the road but it was totally worth the initial concern. After a great breakfast we headed to Shark Valley. There are no sharks in shark valley. There are only crocks and turtles. See the last photo to figure out how they stay there together... Somehow we managed to survive a 15 mile bike ride and me wrecking my bike into the Everglades after being attacked by a Horse fly! Stupid thing hurt like crazy but the incident was hilarious. Either way it was a great ending to a great weekend with some great friends.

Yes, that is a crock with a turtle in his mouth...

April 30, 2011 ~ We started out with a little brunch - omelet in a bag. So yummy and easy! Then we headed for Key West. We made sure to visit the Southernmost point and then head to see the sunset at Mallory Square. It was a fantastic day!
